Casino prepares to host card game tournament

POLOKWANE – Meropa Casino and Entertainment World says it plans to take the card game, casino to the next level by hosting a provincial casino tournament at the casino.

This will be followed by a national tournament.

Teams of four will compete in the tournament.

Meropa Casino and Entertainment World general manager, Clifford Ngakane says the dates and venues for the provincial tournament are still to be confirmed.

“I think it is time to take casino card games to the next level and this will attract tourists to the province,” says Ngakane.

He says he still needs to meet with the board to discuss the idea and bring it to life.

According to Ngakane, Meropa Casino is keen to give back to the community.
