THOHOYANDOU – THE Thohoyandou 2010 Centre will be on fire on December 26 when LIGSAK Events and Consultants hosts the Spar Music Festival.

The line-up will include Vetkuk vs Mahoota, Black Motion, Colbert Mukwevho, Khakhathi and Friend, Tshepo Manyisa, Bhamba and DJ Tira.

LIGSAK Events and Consultants marketing director, Rudzani Matsheketsheke, said the music festival is not to be missed and party-goers will not be disappointed.

“We have done all the logistical arrangements and everything is going smoothly. We are just waiting for the big day to come,” says Matsheketsheke.

He says the festival will also provide fertile opportunities for skills transfer, development and training, job creation, economic spin-offs, talent identification and networking.

“The Spar Music Festival will set the Thohoyandou 2010 Centre on fire, with Limpopo residents celebrating Venda’s rich cultural heritage,” he says.

Cornel Zaayman, executive director of Spar Thohoyandou, says the festival will play host to a unique melting pot of urban and rural cultures, with young people from as far as Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Swaziland, Bloemfontein and Polokwane visiting Thohoyandou.

“We seek to create events in which music lovers will enjoy unforgettable live performances by their favourite artists and bands. Our festivals bring together people from all walks of lives. We create opportunities for people to make new friendships, enlarge their social circles, mingle together and have fun together,” says Zaayman.

Tickets are available at Spar Thohoyandou, Sibasa Spar and online at www.ticketpro.co.za.

Tickets cost R100 for regular tickets and R400 for VIP tickets. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Gates open at 12:00.
