POLOKWANE – The South African boys u/19 Stroke Play Championship started at the Polokwane Golf Club on Monday.
With players from all corners of South Africa participating, the championship promises to be action packed as the young players battle it out against each other.
Deon Germishuys with a score of 67, and Marco Steyn with a score of 68, proved to be the more dominant players on the course as they were on top of the first round log.
Jason Thalrose, Jovan Rebula and Anuerin Gounden were just behind the top two players, with the three sharing the third place with a score of 69.
The championship will continue until Saturday.
