Migrate to the new Isuzu KB SERENGETI Special Edition

FOLLOWING the success of the Midnite Edition, Isuzu is launching another special model in its local line-up, this time paying homage to the magical and mystical Serengeti.

FOLLOWING the success of the Midnite Edition, which was introduced in August 2014, Isuzu is launching another special model in its local line-up, this time paying homage to the magical and mystical Serengeti. Named after the wondering planes of the Serengeti, this limited edition resonate the spirit of the fierce warriors of this vast land to the ambitious over landers in search of individuality, adventure and freedom.

Available in the complete range of Isuzu colours, the exterior of the Serengeti Edition offers a host of exterior enhancements.

These include:

• A bumper guard with silver accents.

• Side steps with silver accents.

• B-pillar blackout.

• Silver roofrails.

• Chrome sports bar.

• Towbar.

• 18-inch alloy wheels.

• All-terrain tyres.

Decals and badging are eye-catching and prominent, boldly displaying the Serengeti Edition’s uniqueness and exclusivity. Although a tonneau cover is not part of the package, it is available as an option. The interior is equally exclusive, featuring a striking combination of brushed silver, chrome and black trim, with Serengeti Special Edition carpets and chrome door sill plates, distinguishing it from other Isuzu models. Of course leather seats with power adjustment is a standard feature. Three Serengeti Special Edition models are available, each powered by Isuzu’s proven 3.0-litre D-TEQ diesel engine with 130kW of power and 380Nm of peak torque on tap and the choice of a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission with a 4×2 drivetrain or 4×4 with a manual gearbox only. The Isuzu KB’s 4×4 system remains particularly impressive, featuring a Terrain Command rotary switch control which allows the driver to switch between rear-wheel drive (2H), four-wheel drive with rear differential locking (4H) and low-range (4L) with shift-on-the-fly capability up to 100km/h.

The KB also still offers exceptional strength in many aspects, including a towing capacity of up to 3 500kg and a clever suspension set-up that ensures occupant safety and comfort, no matter what the road or trail conditions are. All Isuzu KB models are sold with a fully-comprehensive five-year or 120 000km warranty and roadside assistance programme, a five-year or unlimited mileage anti-corrosion warranty and a five-year or 90 000km service plan. Service intervals are 15 000km or twelve months for all derivatives.

The Isuzu KB Serengeti Special Edition will be on sale from June.

If ever there was a place which summed up the mystical wildness of Africa, in all its natural glory, that place would have to be the Serengeti.
