Motivational speaker of note
Lutendo shares valuable life lessons based on her own experiences
POLOKWANE – Lutendo Nomsa Tshisikule overcame harsh struggles over many years and wants to share her advice with others.
This entrepreneur, radio host, motivational speaker, and confidence teacher will host the Talk on Everyday seminar at the Association for Persons with Disabilities (APD) conference centre on 19 June.
This seminar aims to teach people, especially women and young girls, how to be confident in their abilities and empower them to chase their goals and dreams.
With 14 years in the media industry, she has vast experience as a speaker even though she initially had a fear of public speaking.
“Confidence, or lack thereof, affects everyone regardless of race or gender. My passion is to use what I’ve learned about overcoming my own confidence struggles to help women and girls overcome theirs,” she said.
Lutendo invited Mrs South Africa finalist, Shonisani Mulaudzi, as guestspeaker at the seminar to talk to the women about power-dressing because it plays a vital role in one’s ability to be confident.
“Another guestspeaker will talk about the importance of personal branding to explain the importance of first impressions. As much as we say beauty comes from within, when someone sees you for the first time they don’t see what’s inside, they see your personal branding. We plan another seminar around August with girls confidence as the main focus point,” she added.
Her love for the media industry began when she was in Thohoyandou High School where she joined Univen Radio as a newsreader. She later joined SABC and SABC TV where she hosted the magazine show, Zwahashu.
Tickets for the seminar cost R500 and include a goodie bag, drinks, food, and a live performance by Thabelo Netshiunda. For more information or to buy tickets, contact Lutendo at 076 612 2968.
