Why is free Wi-Fi important in business and education?
REVIEW visited Jabez Christian School and The Shamrock Lodge to find out what scholars and residents of the city think of the importance of free Wi-Fi within the school and work environment.
POLOKWANE – Today we celebrate World Wi-Fi Day. Creating awareness around Wi-Fi is a global initiative to help bridge the digital divide, and it is also a way of recognising and celebrating the important role of Wi-Fi in our lives.
REVIEW visited Jabez Christian School and spoke to Hloma Monama, a grade 7 learner, about the importance of free Wi-Fi within the school
Hloma emphasised that he does not only download games but he also downloads educational games and material at malls with free Wi-Fi connectivity.
REVIEW also visited The Shamrock Lodge to find out what residents of the city think of the importance of free Wi-Fi within the work environment.
Monica Rachidi, Operations Manager at The Shamrock Lodge in Bendor Park, said Wi-Fi is very important when it comes to lodge and hotel services because it offers guests the opportunity to connect to the internet without the need to bring along a wireless adapter.
“You don’t have to book a room in order to use our free Wi-Fi, guests dining at the lodge also enjoy free Wi-Fi,” Monica added.
