[WATCH] Relive moments from the #CastleLiteUnlocks experience

Polokwane celebrated Youth Day with international artists, Bryson Tiller and Travis Scott.

POLOKWANE – It was a night to remember when Castle Lite Unlocks brought two international hip-hop artists to the City of Stars on Friday.

The Castle Lite Unlocks set the Pietersburg Cricket Club alight with the performances of international artists, Travis Scott and Bryson Tiller, and other internationally acclaimed acts such as Nastee C.

Casper Nyovest, who recently released his full album Thuto, was among the star-studded line-up and his performance was a big hit with the crowd while DJ Vigilante kept everyone dancing with his tracks.

DJ Speedsta, Major League DJ twins Bandile and Banele Mbere, and Tsonga rap princess, Sho Madjozi, made their appearance on stage to great delight of partygoers.

The MEC of Sport, Arts and Culture, Onicca Moloi and Capricorn FM afternoon drive host, Kulie Hobyane, chatted with guests in the VVIP section while Health MEC, Dr Phophi Ramathuba was seen having a blast.

BONUS spoke with SAB Marketing Manager of Communications, Ramona Kayembe, about what prompted them to host the Castle Lite Unlocks event in Polokwane.

Ramona said SAB sees Polokwane as the heartland of the Castle Lite brand as well as a hub of potential for the youth. “Polokwane has such great opportunity for growth which is why we decided to host something the city has never before experienced,” she explained.

She added not only is the #CastleLiteUnlocks experience growing in South Africa but in the rest of Africa.

“Our campaign can deliver a memorable experience and we brought international artists who most people would want to see live and add to that experience.”

MEC Onicca said the event was about getting Limpopo reawakened but more than anything it was about social cohesion bringing people together. “As a department we said that we will rise up our hands everytime when the big artists come to our province. It’s a privilege to host two of the biggest artists in the world in our beautiful province and city,” she said.
