House robbery at Magoebaskloof

A week after the attack on the elderly Turner couple at Cheerio Farm in Haenertsburg and Robert succumbing to his injuries in hospital later, a resident of Magoebaskloof was attacked and robbed on Tuesday morning.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that Jacobus Johannes Hermann was at home at around 08:15 relaxing on the veranda of his house when he heard noises inside. He went to investigate when he apparently met with three suspects.
Hermann questioned them resulting in one of the suspects running away while another produced a firearm, according to Ngoepe.
Hermann then allegedly ran to his room for safety but the suspects overpowered him and tied his hands with a belt and a cell phone charger cable. They allegedly demanded money and stole a television set, sound system, tablet, camera, two watches, shoes and two suitcases.
Two shots were fired before the suspects fled the scene and Hermann was able to alert authorities. Investigations continue.
