Musician needs help to fulfil music dream
Welcome Phala, a 31-year-old gospel musician of Mokopane, recently released his first album and is looking for help releasing a follow-up DVD to let himself be seen and heard.
MOKOPANE – Phala has been singing for the past 10 years and has a passion for music.
His first album is called My life my journey and has a total of 10 tracks on it. He says his favorite song on the CD is Bamba (hold on).
“I did not have any help and started on my own. It is very difficult. Many people received exposure on television and radio, but I just worked myself up from the bottom,” he says.
He is currently struggling to get funds to release the DVD and is asking the public for help. “Any donations to make this dream a reality would be welcome.”
He said he loves music because you get to stand up on your own in front of crowds and perform.
He added it takes a lot of courage to do that and it helps him to believe in himself. “I want young people to feel motivated through my music and know that they can make a difference in their lives like me. Hard work is the answer.”
