Zwithu Zwi Ntha, Limpopo peeps gear up
On 31 December, the Vleifontein, Mailaskop and Muzhedzi area will be alive during the second annual Zwithu Zwi Ntha Show at Koyas in Vleifontein
LIMPOPO – Visitors will be treated to arts and cultural exhibitions, as well as music performances by Limpopo’s homegrown artists.
The show is hosted by Zwithu Zwi Ntha Media and Projects in association with Grisle SA.
Exhibition stalls and tables will run between 12:00 and 17:00, while the music festival is set to start at 19:00.
Limpopo brands, from arts, food, beverages, clothes, traditional and modern dance groups, will be abundant.
“We are offering a free exhibition platform to all brands or projects as a way of creating a space for marketing and promoting their products,” said Manager of Zwithu Zwi Ntha Media and Projects, Thendo Nkuna.
She said she had noticed with dismay the inflow of artists who came from other provinces to perform at local shows which meant artists from Limpopo, who should have been getting the same exposure and access to their fans, were left out.
“People around here are disappointed with shows which don’t include their favourite artists, so we are bringing more and more artists from different parts of Vhembe district into one place for a unique musical experience,” added Nkuna.
The Director of Grisle SA, Ampfarisaho Mudanalo, said the event would also help more artists to link up with them so that Grisle SA could also secure performance spaces for them even outside Limpopo.
“We believe in giving our talented youths a chance to shine. If their talents demand attention, they deserve to get that platform to make a living out of their art,” said Pule.
The line-up for the second annual Zwithu Zwi Ntha Show includes Batondy, Fizzy, Vendaboy the Poet, Candy, Romeo DzedzeMoney.
