Limpopo beauty poised for success

When she was crowned as Miss Valentine first princess in 2009 at the age of 14, Tshifhiwa Forgiveness Mammburu never looked back.

LIMPOPO – Her commitment and determination in the modelling industry has enabled her to win more than 20 titles, but she is craving more.

When asked why she is so passionate about modelling, the 24-year-old model from Ha-Ramahantsha outside Louis Trichardt said: “I love modelling because it defines me. Modelling needs people who are caring, loving, supportive, giving and beautiful and I have those characteristics, that’s why I love it.”

She draws inspiration from well-known South African model, Basetsana Khumalo. “She inspired me to be a model by just seeing her being crowned Miss South Africa and an entrepreneur. That really inspired me.

“My dream is to win Miss Mamelodi Sundowns and Miss South Africa. Optimism is the skill and those who dream high achieve more. I also want to be crowned Miss Universe because it will put my modelling career on a new level,” she said.

“I learnt not to limit myself because limitations live only in our minds, but if we use our imaginations and work hard our possibilities can be limitless. I believe only the sky is the limit,” she said.

Some of the titles she has won: Miss Zwithu Zwintha 2019; Miss Elite SA Limpopo winner 2018; Miss Cultural Heritage Limpopo Beauty With Brain 2017; Miss Crystal beauty 2016; and Miss Elegant 2011.

She recently started the Chifhi Charity Foundation to help the underprivileged people in her community.

“I really want to see my foundation grow and help less fortunate people in my community and the country as a whole,” she said.

She is signed under Limpopo Beauty Modelling Academy.
