POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Lovecraft Country Season 1

Atticus Black is a black man who sets out on a road trip across a racially segregated America, to look for his missing father. He, however, faces lethal challenges in his quest.

Movie: Harriet

Cynthia Erivo plays the role of heroic abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who escaped from slavery and led dangerous missions to liberate hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad.

For the kids: Henry Danger Season 1 to 4

Henry Hart is a 13-year-old boy who secretly works as Kid Danger. Henry must protect his own exploits from being discovered by his family and friends, while being a sidekick to Captain Man.

Netflix:

Series: Chef’s Table: BBQ Season 1

In the critically-acclaimed series’ latest iteration, featured chefs and pitmasters Tootsie Tomantez, Lennox Hastie, Rodney Scott and Rosalia Chay Chuc delve into the smoky and juicy world of barbecue.

Movie: I’m Thinking of Ending Things

In this drama/thriller, a young woman travels with her new boyfriend to his parents’ secluded farm. 

For the kids: Muppet’s Most Wanted

The Muppets set out on a global tour and perform in locations that include Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. Just after they perform in Berlin, they find themselves involved in a jewel heist.
