Fun paper cup and plate crafts for kids
These paper plate and cup crafts for kids will keep your little one happily entertained.
There is so much to love when it comes to paper plate and cup crafts for kids! Nothing beats spending time with your child without breaking the bank. There are so many fun things you can create with a bit of paint and some paper plates and cups. So, grab the kids, and let’s get crafty!
Paper plate purse
What you’ll need:
- 1 x paper plate
- Pink paint
- Ribbon
- Small piece of felt
- Button
- Glue
- Stapler
How to make it:
- Cut the paper plate in half and staple the two halves together.
- Paint both sides of the ‘purse’ pink and let it dry.
- Cut a small piece of ribbon and staple it to the ‘purse’ on both sides to create the strap.
- Glue the felt to the back of the purse for the flap. Make sure it’s big enough so it can fold over to close the purse.
- Glue the button on the front of the flap to hold it down.
Paper plate guitar
What you’ll need:
- 3 x blue paper plates
- Stapler
- Spiderman or any other stickers
- Rubber bands
- Map pins and Prestik to cover the pins at the back so your tot doesn’t get hurt.
- Black cardboard
- Glue
How to make it:
- Staple the three blue paper plates together.
- Cut the rubber bands in half and stretch them over the paper plates for the guitar strings. Faster them at the back of the paper plates with map pins. Use the prestik on the ends of the pins to prevent your kids getting poked.
- Decorate the paper plates with stickers.
- Cut three pieces of black cardboard and stick them together.
- Paste them to the back of the paper plates.
- Voila, your little one can have loads of fun now.
Paper cup owl
What you’ll need:
- 1 x paper cup
- Grey felt
- Glue
- Googly eyes
- Pink felt
- Feathers
- Black paint
- Optional: Air-drying clay
How to make it:
- Paint the cup black and let it dry completely.
- Cut an oval and a heart shape from the grey felt for the owl’s head and belly.
- Cut a triangle of pink felt for the beak, or use a little bit of clay for a 3D beak effect.
- Flip the cup upside down and glue the pieces in place.
- Cut small round circles from white paper and glue the googly eyes in the middle. Glue the eyes on the head.
- For the ears, fold triangles of grey felt in half and staple them to the head.
- Glue a couple of fluffy feathers all around the cup.
