Supporters of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo gathered at Polokwane High Court earlier this morning (Thursday) to oppose an application by Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality to prevent land occupation of a vacant property in Lebowakgomo.
According to EFF Councillor and EFF Convenor in Lepelle-Nkumpi, Rufus Mphahlele they were protesting outside court to oppose the court application. He said they needed the court to grant them the particular piece of land – located in Lebowakgomo’s Zone B and still vacant after two decades. He alluded to their people suffering due to the fact that they didn’t have houses or land.
The communications section of Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality was approached for information in this regard earlier today, but hasn’t responded as yet.
