Last Thursday’s opening of Food Lover’s Market’s upgraded outlet in the Thornhill Shopping Centre introduced an improved new shopping experience for food connoisseurs looking for a wide variety of fresh foodstuffs at reasonable prices.
Food Lover’s Market Regional Manager Don Algera and Store Manager Jack Seema were very excited about the renovated shop with its fresh new look and extended shopping area and cash points and joined the staff complement in song and a prayer before the first customers were allowed into the shop at 08:00.
“We are essentially a food store and therefore take care to ensure that our customers have the advantage of the greatest variety of merchandise at competitive prices,” Algera said.
On Friday, Algera said that the first day of business was a huge success. “The feedback that we got from customers was tremendous. They were impressed by the spaciousness of the shop and remarked that the lay-out of the shop made it easy to find everything,” Algera said and added that the management is determined to maintain the same high standard that was evident at the opening. “We source all our products from selected suppliers and are only satisfied with the best. Our staff members are well trained and highly motivated and our customers come first,” Algera said and added that specialists from as far as Cape Town were engaged to ensure that the high quality of the freshly baked treats in the confectionary section will be one of the draw cards for customers.
