eMBALENHLE – Police are investigating the rape of a woman in her shack in Marikana Section on Sunday, 8 April.
The victim was sleeping in her room with her niece when the suspect entered the room and chased out the five-year-old girl.
He allegedly undressed the victim and raped her without a condom.

Police said when the woman was screaming, her sister heard her and went to investigate.
The suspect apparently hit her with a wooden chair and fled the scene.
Police said the suspect was known to them, but he had not yet been arrested at time of going to press.
