Young soccer squad from gains valuable DDC experience

I Promise Football School’s young squad gained valuable experience during a DSTV Diski Challenge (DDC) football tournament held at Laerskool Leandra on August 15.
The team, made up of players aged 14 to 17, faced older opposition as part of its long-term development programme.
I Promise lost 3-1 to Kruger United FC in its opening match before suffering a 3-0 defeat against Siwelele FC.
Kruger United went on to beat Siwelele 1-0 in the tournament’s second fixture.
According to the club, the focus is on developing talented young footballers and preparing them for opportunities with collaborating teams in Europe.
The team will return to action on August 29 at Laerskool Leandra, with kick-off at 10:00, when it takes on Kaizer Chiefs DDC.
Community members are encouraged to come out and support the young players.
