eMbalenhle police promote fitness and operational readiness

Sergeant Busi Mthethwa said the programme forms part of the station’s ongoing efforts to encourage police officials to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Police officials at the eMbalenhle Police Station took part in a physical fitness programme at the eMbalenhle Sasol Club on August 19, aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles, physical wellbeing and operational readiness.

According to Sergeant Busi Mthethwa, the programme forms part of the station’s ongoing efforts to encourage police officials to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

“Physical fitness is essential for police officials to respond effectively to operational demands and emergencies; our members participated in various fitness and conditioning exercises designed to promote teamwork, discipline and morale,” said Mthethwa.

Mthethwa said the activity was conducted in a positive atmosphere, with members demonstrating commitment and enthusiasm throughout the programme.

She said station management encouraged police officials to make physical exercise part of their daily routines, stressing that regular fitness activities contribute to improved service delivery to the community.

“Maintaining a healthy and physically fit workforce is important in ensuring that members remain ready to respond to the needs of the community,” Mthethwa said.
