Shalom Marathon Club runners tackle Cosmos 3-in-1 in Secunda

A total of 13 Shalom Marathon Club runners participated in the Cosmos 3-in-1 race in Secunda on Saturday, 10 March.

The local runners took part in the 42,2km, 21,1km and 10km races.

Only 11 Shalom athletes competed in the three races and completed it in the following accumulative times:

• Jeff Madihlaba 6:12,22

• Bheki Shongwe 7:07,34

• Nomvula Mthethwa 7:41,37

• Themba Nzuza 8:12,29

• Sydney Khumalo 8:19,42

• Russel Sibiya 8:21,06

• Shadrack Nhlapho 8:29,20

• Molifi Hlangwane 8:37,20

• Nelson Nhlabathi 8:50,12

• Makhosonke Dladla 9:16,20

• Bongani Mlangeni 9:48,51

Busi Shongwe ran the 21,1km and 10km in an accumulative time of 4:14,24, while Sthembile Maraga ran the 10km in 1:12,31.

Nomvula Mthethwa was the only woman who competed in all three and will represent the team at the Comrades Marathon in Durban on 10 June.
