SECUNDA – The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) held a controller function for all their blood drive contacts at Graceland on Saturday, 16 November.
They thanked companies and organisations for volunteering to host blood drives.
“It is due to the effort of people like them that the SANBS can continue saving lives,” said Ms Dot Prinsloo, Public Relations Practitioner for Teksa SANBS.
They aim to collect an average of 3 000 units of blood every day nationally.
Ms Prinsloo said: “It is through planned, sustainable blood drives at companies, organisations and institutions that we are able to achieve this collection target.”
The success of blood drives are largely dependent on the support of the blood drive contacts.
“SANBS appreciates the effort put in by our contacts and through this function, we want to recognise and acknowledge your contributions to saving lives.”
