STANDERTON – Take out that walking and running shoes. It is time for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) in Standerton’s Pink Walk.
With the recent Relay for Life, everyone should be still fit enough to be able to face this walk.
The walk will start at the Standerton Town Hall, on 30 November at 7am, and will end at the Junxion Centre.
This year, the Junxion Centre will sponsor every walker, so bring your friends, colleagues, children, neighbours, men, women, everyone can walk to support this worthy cause.
The Junxion Centre will donate R20 a person who joins in the walk.
Everyone must wear something pink and at the end of the walk at the Junxion Centre, will receive a cold drink.
Be creative and let the pink juices flow, make teams, have fun while walking for a serious matter.
This disease can affect you, your mother, your wife, your sister, friend, neighbour or your daughter.

According to the National Cancer Registry of 2004, one in 29 women is diagnosed with breast cancer.
Breast cancer is one of the top 10 cancers among women.
Breast cancer is a group of cancer cells (malignant tumor) that begins in the cells of the breast.
All people, whether male or female, are born with some breast cells and tissue that have the possibility to develop into cancer.
However, breast cancer in men is rare, with only about 2,190 diagnoses each year.
This being said, make a stride in showing your support to those who are suffering with this disease and make a difference by joining the Pink Walk.
