Ona Rautenbach is a young leader of tomorrow

Delegates will graduate as One Young World ambassadors, joining a global network of young leaders around the world.

SECUNDA – Ms. Ona Rautenbach is a 25-year old woman who is representing Sasol at the International One Young World summit that is currently taking place in Dublin, Ireland.

The One Young World summit attracts the world’s most influential young leaders from across the globe, providing the opportunity for each to share their wisdom and insights on common challenges facing the world.

Ms. Rautenbach loves South Africa and has a passion for solving social problems with her industrial engineering background.

Her mission is to help solve the problems in the areas of women empowerment, leadership development and education in South Africa.

She took part in many initiatives, such as volunteering for a maths and science tutor in Kyamandi, Stellenbosch, doing community work at a weekly soup kitchen in Secunda and organising help for underprivileged children and she headed up a mentorship program for young girls in Vlottenburg, Stellenbosch, for the University Community Service department.

“My passion lies in empowerment and I believe that through reshaping the way people think about themselves and re-engineering the way they do what they do, we can begin to generate positive change in the society,” said Ms. Rautenbach.
