The Sakhile Police arrested three suspects for murder in Sakhile on 21 December.
The police were notified that they were assaulting an unknown man.
After they went to the scene, they found the victim lying on the ground, bleeding.
The assailants were questioned who said they found the man lying on the ground in the yard of one of the suspects and admitted to beating him up.
The police called the ambulance and upon arrival the paramedics examined him and said he was unconscious.
He was taken to hospital where he later died.
The suspects were arrested and appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 23 December.
The police are investigating the case.
