Municipal lessees must renew licenses

Failure to do so, result in property reverting back to municipality.

HIGHVELD – Everyone occupying property of the Govan Mbeki Municipality has until 15 December to renew their lease agreements with the municipality.

Mr Bheki Kubheka, senior manager at the office of the municipal manager and acting head of Communications and Marketing, said failure to do so will result in the property being reverted back to the municipality.

The lessees must take the following with when they renew their licenses:

Residential:

· Certified identity document

· Proof of income

· Marital certificate if married in community of property

Business:

· Business document

· Business plans

· Three months’ bank statements

· Certified identity document

· Letter of authority
