Sunsetpark left without water

Sunsetpark residents left without water for two days.

The municipality is aware of the water crisis faced by residents on Sunsetpark.
According to Mr Bheki Kubheka, municipal spokesman, the matter is being attended to by a group of municipal workers.
“A large supply pipe, that supplies water to the area, burst last night. A team of plumbers were on site and they did fix the pipe, but after they had left, the pipe burst again.
“The team went back and have been on sight since this morning, working to resolve the problem.
“According to the workers on sight the problem should be fixed within the next three hours.”
Mr Kubheka confirmed that the SAMWU march did affect the workforce.
“We are working with a skeleton staff, but the commitment to resolve this water crisis remains the same.”
Should the pipe not be repaired at 6pmĀ the municipality will make alternative arrangements for residents who need water.
