It’s official development of Mall will begin in September

Work in phase one will begin in September and the completion of phases two and three will result in a major growth opportunity.

The Lekwa Municipality officially launched the development of the Standerton Mall in Walter Sisulu Drive on 25 April.

This shared vision between Sky Village Properties and the municipality saw community members, business owners, councillors and municipal employees attending.

After a local pastor opened proceeding with a prayer, Ms Harriet Khota, speaker, delivered the opening address, while Mr Sipho Nkosi, HOD of Corporate Services at the municipality, acted as master of ceremonies for the first part of the event.

Mr Linda Dhlamini, mayor, said they aim at completing the mall by the end of their political term.

“We will work closely with the developers to iron out any challenges that may arise,” Mr Dhlamini also said.

“We expect that local people will benefit from this project,” Ms Lindi Masina, acting mayor of the Gert Sibande District Municipality, said.
