Learners and teachers at Lindile Secondary School resumed classes on Tuesday, 20 March, after the school closed down due to infrastructure problems.

It was a catalyst for the teachers to stop presenting classes with the problem said to be a regular occurrence.
Dilapidated buildings also contributed towards the strike action and the school buildings and ceilings are on the verge of collapse.
The Department of Environment visited the school and was of the opinion it was not safe in terms of health and safety.
This saw a march organised by the community where various political parties, learners and teachers went through the streets of Ermelo.
The contingent handed over a memorandum to the Department of Education and the Msukaligwa Municipality.
A meeting was held on 17 March by all affected parties and it was unanimously agreed upon that learners should go back to school after missing three weeks of the school curriculum.
However, the situation at the school remains the same.
Teachers are teaching in science labs and staff rooms to avoid the unsafe classes.
“We have to use alternative classes because we cannot miss another day of school,” said Mr Mbali Cindi, a school teacher.
He also said it disrupts the school programme and the current situation is not ideal.
The Department of Education has noted the problems and will attend to it.
The municipality promised the work on the sewage pump to a contractor who was set to begin on Monday, 26 March.
However, Mr Cindi said no contractor has been at the school.
