Capt Liz Koekemoer from the Child Protection Unit, has confirmed that Mary-Ann was found unharmed today, 13 May.
No further information was released surrounding the incident.
BETHAL – Mary-Ann Helgrien (14) from Secunda has officially been reported as a missing person.
She was last seen at Jim van Tonder School at Bethal on 7 May.
According to the police’s Child Protection Unit, Mary-Ann attended the first period at school, but then disappeared.
She does not have friends at Bethal and it is therefore possible that she might have returned to Secunda.
Anyone with information on the teen’s whereabouts, are asked to contact the investigating officer, W/O Gloudie Sachse or Capt Liz Koekemoer, at 082 565 7514.
