TRICHARDT – Swift response from the reaction team led to an arrest of a suspect before he fled the scene.
Roman Alarms received information that a burglary might take place on the morning of 15 August.
It was suspected that a business premises in town will be targeted and broken into at about 2am.
Observation was done by Roman Alarms Reaction and Tactical Response Unit.
“At about 1.40am a suspect was spotted by the armed reaction, trying to break open the back gate of the premises. Trichardt Police was contacted and arrived on the scene within minutes. The suspect was handed over to them and a case was opened against the suspect who is well known in the area. We thank Trichardt Police for the fast response,” said Mr Andries Lee from the Tactical Response Unit.
