UPDATE: Trucks set alight in Bethal

BETHAL – A truck was set alight at the Bethal Police Station on the N17 towards Ermelo this morning.

This road is blocked off as from the Bethal Police Station.

Mr Alf Byleveldt from Jelani said the R38 between Bethal and Standerton, as well as roads into and out of eMzinoni are barricaded with stones and burning tyres.

Motorists are cautioned to avoid these roads.

According to Mr Jaap Pretorius, Bethal CPF chairman, Bethal town is clear.

The Bethal Morgenzon road is partially open with obstruction.

The N17 from Bethal towards Secunda is clear.
