Shack burns down in eMbalenhle
Firefighters had the flames under control within minutes, although they had to douse down several large gas cylinders that were stashed inside the shack.
eMBALENHLE – A shack was destroyed in a fire in eMbalenhle this afternoon, 10 March.
The blaze in Roodebank, was reported to the Govan Mbeki municipal firebrigade just after 1pm.
Firefighters had the flames under control within minutes, although they had to douse down several large gas cylinders that were stashed inside the shack.
These had to be handled with precaution before they exploded.
Readers are urged to comply to safety regulations by storing cylinders in a cage outside.
