Crimen injuria-case in Standerton postponed

EFF-supporters in Beyers Naudé Street, standing in front of the court, took an interest in the case.

The crimen injuria case of a businessman from Standerton, Mr Christo Dippenaar, was postponed to 12 December.

Mr Dippenaar first appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 11 September, was remanded in custody and appeared the following Monday.

Bail was set at R5 000 and the next court date was scheduled for 9 November.

EFF-supporters in Beyers Naudé Street, standing in front of the court, took an interest in the case.

This followed after a verbal argument in front of the Clicks-store at the Monument Centre. A shampoo-advertisement depicting the difference between the hair of black and white women caused nationwide protests at several retail outlets.

A video also did the rounds on social media.
