The communications officer of Standerton Police, W/O Nkosinati Khanyile, recently gave information on the increase of theft in Standerton.
Altogether 24 motor gates were stolen as from the end of October to Monday, 9 November.
The areas targeted were Meyerville, mid-town, Florapark and Kosmospark.
“We caution to public to be aware and vigilant,” he said.
As regards stolen vehicles, Ford Rangers, Toyotas and Isuzu-bakkies top the list.
“Remember to park your vehicle inside your premises and not in the street,” he added.
