“This last weekend, on 24 April, we were privileged to share this experience with our Mrs Mpumalanga 2021, Ms Ntombi Ngobese, who joined us to serve these special souls with a heart-warming meal.
“Watching the residents running down the road with containers in hands, and a sun kissed smile, looking forward to tasting a meal specially prepared for them.
“A total of 500 plates were distributed this past weekend,” Mr Paddy Singh, organiser, said.
According to Ms Ngobese, the children were so excited, as they came in numbers with their own containers to fetch the food.
She said it was one of her most defining moment.
“I plan to take my son there one day, so that he can get to understand the bigger picture of life.
“I want my children to grow up knowing they have to give more than receiving and to know that life is not perfect for all the people,” She said.
She said, even though it made her little bit emotional, but she also had a feeling of fulfillment after helping others.
Over the years, Food for Life have served the community and will continue to do so.
