Sbu Shongwe signs successful deal with Universal Music

Mr Sbusiso Shongwe, originally from Breyten, signed a successful deal with Universal Music (UMG) on June 14.

From humble beginnings, Mr Shongwe became a jack of all trade in the world of media.

He is talented as an actor, sports analyst, television producer who hosted his very own sports show and now cut the ribbon in his musical journey.

Mr Shongwe goes by Mamba as his stage name has broken barriers in the DJ space after signing a partnership deal with one of the biggest labels in the country.

“To be represented by a company like UMG Live, under the umbrella of Universal Music is a huge honour.

“It has changed my life in a sense that I’m not regarded as just another DJ on the block, there’s a lot of credibilities that goes along with it.

“In this day and age where branding is the name of the game, it was important for me to work with a team that’s seasoned and reputable in the industry,” he said.
