Residents cross swords with rowdy neighbour in Wesselton

“When trying to remove the rocks, he asked if we had placed them there. When we responded no, he told us to then leave them there,” she said.

WESSELTON – Residents crossed swords with a rowdy neighbour who blocked-off a section of Gama Street with rocks which prohibited motorists from passing with their vehicles on August 21.

According to a resident, who stays in the street and wishes to remain anonymous, the neighbour was playing loud music throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning.

“On our way to take our children to school, we found rocks blocking the road and a big fire that the person had made.

“When trying to remove the rocks, he asked if we had placed them there. When we responded no, he told us to then leave them there,” she said.

She alleged police officials came to the scene and the man went into the house to fetch his gun.
