Ms Patience Fakude, mother of missing 17-year-old Lungile Fakude, said she last saw her daughter on August 16 when she went to a friend to write down homework.
On the same day a relative told her that she saw her Facebook account was active but she never responded when she was asked of her whereabout.
She said it is not the first time her daughter goes missing. Lungile first disappeared last November and the eMzinoni Police later found her in a shack in the area.
“She was diagnosed with epilepsy and a heart disease. Her medicine is here at home and I am worried about how she will survive without it,” said Ms Fakude.
Ms Fakude fears for her daughter’s safety and has been daily searching for her.
eMzinoni police spokesperson, Sgt Cynthia Mtsweni, said the police have opened a missing person’s file which may change to a docket if found that something has happened to Lungile. “
We are working with the family to look for their daughter and its painful that this incident happened during Women’s Month.
“We understand Ms Fakude’s pain and we are with her. We will make sure that if there is any criminal element in her disappearance, the law will take its course,” said Sgt Mtweni.
