Donate blood, save lives

Visit the Secunda or Bethal South African National Blood Service branches to donate blood.

The local branch of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has recently experienced low donations and called on the community to support them.

The SANBS urgently needs Groups O and B donors to donate blood and help them rectify steadily declining stocks.

Thandi Mosupye, the spokesperson for the SANBS, said last week that they only had 2.7 days of bloodstock left, and all donors due to donate could help increase this level.

“Blood donation is a great way of knowing you might be able to give someone else more time to observe more celebratory moments with their friends and families,” said Mosupye.

“We urge you to spare 30 minutes to make a life-saving difference.”

Visit the blood service in Secunda on Horwood Street, the one in Bethal near SPAR, or call them on 017 631 1652 or 017 647 5598.
