Athletes from Standerton compete in Comrades Marathon
Robert Dhlamini, Joseph Khumalo, Lennox Mfenqa, Sipho Mngomezulu, May Mnisi, Thomas Motaung, Sfiso Ndinisa, Richard Sangweni, Ray Sibanda, Kenny Swart and Wonderboy Nxumalo represented the club.
Athletes of Standerton Marathon Club took on the Comrades 2024 the past week.
Robert Dhlamini, Joseph Khumalo, Lennox Mfenqa, Sipho Mngomezulu, May Mnisi, Thomas Motaung, Sfiso Ndinisa, Richard Sangweni, Ray Sibanda, Kenny Swart and Wonderboy Nxumalo represented the club.
The race was run on June 9, starting at 05:30 and finishing at 17:30. It started at the City Hall in Durban and finished in Pietermaritzburg.
The race distance was 85.9km, subject to change and would have been confirmed in the final race instructions.
The results are as follows:
Sangweni completed the distance in 8:43:45, Mfenqa in 9:23:32, Ndinisa in 9:25:40, Mngomezulu in 10:11:10, Dhlamini in 10:26:47, Mnisi in 10:33:15, Sibanda in 10:07:10, Swart in 11:45:42 and Nxumalo in 12:00:50.
