Task teams will come help search for missing eMbalenhle toddler

Thingo Mahlangu (4) disappeared from his home in Ext 16, very close to the home of the Pakeni family.

The police, eMbalenhle Community Policing Forum (CPF) and the police’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit today (October 18) met with residents of Extention 16 with an update on the investigation into the disappearance of Khayone Pakeni (2) last week Wednesday while playing in the yard at his home.

According to the FCS, the Mpumalanga provincial police and the national police task teams will arrive on Monday to help search for Khayone.

Community members accused the police of failing them. They also demand an answer on the murder of another little boy in April.

Thingo Mahlangu (4) disappeared from his home in Ext 16, very close to the home of the Pakeni family.

Thingo’s half-naked body was dumped in the veld close to his home in May. No arrests have yet been made.
