Crime is rampant in Standerton

Several crimes in and around Standerton have ravaged the community in this past week, luckily due to our top notch safety and emergency services, several criminals have been taken into custody

Emergency and safety services have had their hands full this past week, with crimes happening all over Standerton.

Reaction officers received an alarm on the Fidelity property on October 12. They found a man trying to steal steel from the premises and swiftly arrested him.

The suspect was taken to the SAPS for a case to be opened. The next night, a tyre business was burgled. Several items such as tyres, rims and batteries were stolen.

Kasselman Security Services (KSS) reaction reached the scene within an impressive time of one minute.

The SAPS was also dispatched to the scene and a case has been opened. Another theft at Stanwest Combined School led to an arrest.

A suspect was found stealing cables on the school grounds, while an officer was patrolling the area.

According to a report from KSS, the suspect was cleaning the cable on the school grounds when he was caught.

The KSS officer handed the culprit over to the SAPS for processing. A suspect who tried to steal cables from a light fixture in Sakhile was nabbed on October 17.

According to reaction officers on the scene, the suspect had cut the suspension cable of the fixtures by mistake, causing the massive light to come crashing down on his head.

The suspect sustained a serious head injury but surprisingly survived the incident. He was handed over to EMS for the proper medical care and a case was opened at the Standerton SAPS.
