Paralysed man from eMbalenhle refuses hospice
He told social worker he needs an RDP house and a helper in eMbalenhle
After the eMbalenhle police allegedly dumped him there, an eMbalenhle social worker tried to help wheelchair-bound and homeless Bhekani Ndimande (47), who sleeps outside the Ext 4 clinic in eMbalenhle.
According to Ndimande, paralysed by a stroke, he slept at the eMbalenhle Police Station before police officers allegedly forced him into a police van.
When the Ridge Times visited the man, the newspaper found social worker Precious Soko asking Ndimande if he could be taken to hospice.
He refused, telling her he would not go anywhere and needed an RDP house and a helper in eMbalenhle.
Soko said as social workers, they wanted to help Ndimande, but he didn’t want to go anywhere.
