Curro Secunda celebrates 10 years
Teachers are proud of how far school has come.

Curro Secunda celebrated its 10th anniversary recently with a prestigious event at the school. Curro Secunda opened its doors in January 2015 with 123 learners and 39 staff members, offering classes from preschool to Grade Five and Grade Eight, phasing in additional grades each year up to Grade 12.
The school expanded in 2018 with the construction of the foundation phase building and in 2020, the current primary school building was completed for the high school.
The campus currently accommodates children from three months old to Grade 12 learners, with 800 learners enrolled and 104 staff members.
“We are proud to have seven staff members who have been with Curro Secunda since opening in 2015,” said Venseshrie Chetty, marketer of the school.

The executive head of Curro Secunda, Ruan van der Merwe, said the event was not just a celebration of a decade of academic achievements and growth, but a testimony of the dedication, resilience and spirit of the school community.
“This year, we have exciting plans to mark the occasion. Our celebrations will take place throughout the year, beginning with a week-long birthday celebration for our learners.
“This will conclude with a fun-filled day offering a variety of exciting activities, fostering joy and togetherness. As we mark this milestone, I reflect on how far we have come,” said Van der Merwe.
