Cullinan and Rayton unites in safety efforts

“Their presence gives our residents peace of mind and shows what we can achieve when we work together.”

In what can only be described as a strong show of collaboration, security companies operating in the Cullinan and Rayton areas teamed up with the local CPF, TMPD and SAPS during the second week of April to ramp up safety efforts in the community.

Visible patrols and stationed security vehicles around schools and central town areas reassured residents, as uniformed guards maintained a watchful presence to deter criminal activity and respond swiftly to any concerns.

“This united action is part of an ongoing partnership between private security, CPF, and SAPS to build a safer environment for all,” said Johannes Bekker, Ward 100 Clr.

He joined the outreach and commended the teams for their commitment.

“Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and I am proud to see this level of cooperation between stakeholders,” Bekker added.

“Their presence gives our residents peace of mind and shows what we can achieve when we work together. The involved security companies also participate in monthly CPF meetings alongside SAPS, TMPD and community representatives.

“These sessions provide a platform to discuss crime trends, share intelligence, and develop proactive safety solutions tailored to local needs.”

The ongoing partnership stands as a model of community-led safety, with local leadership, law enforcement, and the private sector working hand-in-hand to protect the people of Cullinan and Rayton.

“A special thank you goes out to the dedicated security companies who go beyond their daily duties by offering additional services such as supporting school safety initiatives and responding to medical emergencies. Your commitment and compassion truly make a difference in the lives of our residents,” Bekker concluded.
