Murder accused Werner Müller heads to Middelburg High Court

He remains in custody.

Werner Müller, the man accused of murdering his wife, René Müller, appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court yesterday, July 27, on charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.

The matter has now been referred to the Middelburg High Court where Müller will make his appearance on July 29. He remains in custody.

The body of René was discovered concealed in a bag in the outside room of her townhouse in Danie Theron Street on April 13, at around 12:30.

She had been stabbed 18 times. The couple had been married since February. Müller was arrested in Mozambique on April 14, after fleeing Secunda.
