Lekwa Municipality MMC receives book donation for Morgenzon Library

The donation forms part of ongoing efforts to support education, promote a culture of reading, and strengthen access to learning resources within the community.

The Lekwa Municipality’s Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Community Services, Maphaseka Molaba, received a donation of books from Seriti Green on behalf of the municipality at the Morgenzon Library on March 11.

According to the municipality, the donation forms part of ongoing efforts to support education, promote a culture of reading, and strengthen access to learning resources within the community.

“The books will assist learners, students, and community members who rely on the library for information and educational support,” said Molaba

Speaking during the handover, Molaba expressed appreciation for the contribution and emphasised the importance of partnerships between the municipality and the private sector in advancing community development.

“We would like to thank Seriti Green for this generous donation. Books are powerful tools for education and empowerment, and this contribution will greatly benefit the people of Morgenzon.

“As a municipality, we remain committed to working with partners who share our vision of building informed and educated communities,” said Molaba.

Molaba also welcomed the partnership and encouraged community members, especially young people, to make full use of the resources available at the Morgenzon Library.
