Sasol Secunda Cricket Club has an unbeaten victory against Piet Retief and Kinross Cricket Club
SECUNDA – Sasol Secunda Cricket Club began their new season and played against Piet Retief Cricket Club for the first time.
Sasol 1 pulled the game through with a 50 run 9 wicket partnership between Michael Hobkirk (60*) and Doddz van Zyl (25*) and won with two wickets to spare.
Sasol 1 bowled Piet Retief out for 222.
Andre Allerston was the star bowler for Sasol, taking seven wickets for seven runs in his six overs.
Sasol 1 scored 223/8 with Michael Hobkirk, the star batsman, scoring 60 runs and Johan Scheepers with 46 runs.
Sasol 2 hosted Kinross Cricket Club and won the toss and elected to bat first.
They scored 193/6 in their 30 overs with Johan Visagie scoring 54 and Johan Janse van Rensburg 67 runs.
Sasol 2 replied strong with the ball and bowled out Kinross for just 61 runs, with Johan Visagie taking two for only four runs in his four overs.
Dylan Niemand was the captain of Sasol 1 and Johan Visagie the captain of Sasol 2.
