SECUNDA – Police from Mpumalanga recently sent their members to train at Sasol Bootcamp.
The instructor, Lynette Victor, enjoyed training these members who came from among other towns, Middelburg, Nelspruit and Groblersdal.
“We began with 72 police members and later elected a team of 32,” said Victor.
These 32 took part in the national Police Fitness Championships held in Bloemfontein in October.
Victor trained them for three months to prepare them for the championships.
“The motivation and team work of these members were amazing,” said Victor.
Sasol Bootcamp also offers a holiday programme for children during school holidays.
The children presented a concert during the previous holiday programme and did art and fishing and horse riding.
This programme again will take place in the first week of December.
Apart from the activities at the holiday programme, Victor also teaches the children about their health and how to eat right and exercise.
She thanked Mr Ockert Stoop for his help and support and invited people to join Sasol Bootcamp.
“It is an activity that the whole family can take part in.”
Victor began the bootcamp in 2011 with three people, but that number has grown to 82 people.
