Secunda Sasol Cricket Club won the 50 Over Premier League trophy.

SECUNDA – The Secunda Sasol Cricket Club was awarded the 50 Over Premier League winners trophy on Saturday, 25 April at the Titans Mpumalanga’s annual prize giving.

Sasol played with great commitment and as one team throughout the season.

Sasol 1 won all their matches this year and according to Mr Michael Hobkirk from the club, it is only the second time in history that a club achieved this in the premier league.

Douglas Richardson was awarded as Batsman of the Year.

Mr Hobkirk invited all players to join them and said club cricket is a brilliant learning curve for young and old.

“Our aim is to enter three teams in club cricket,” said Mr Hobkirk.

“We as Sasol would like to thank everyone for their commitment and support through the year.

“The cricket field is a family environment with all the necessary facilities.

“Everyone is welcome.”
