Samba Boys FC clinches Seven a Side Cup at Lake Umuzi Rainbow Sportfest
Samba Boys and Buccaneers also faced each other in the first game of the tournament
SECUNDA – The Samba Boys are the champions of this year’s Lake Umuzi Rainbow Sportfest Seven-a-Side soccer tournament held at the Sasol Club in Secunda on Saturday, 6 October.
They beat the Buccaneers by 4-2 in a penalty knock out in the finals to clinch the tournament cup.
These teams faced each other in the first game of the B Group when they also drew 0-0.
The Samba Boys worked their way up to the semi finals by beating Sasol Celtic FC 2-1, Itumeleng FC 2 -0 and Megchem 2-1 in the semi-finals.
The Buccaneers beat the Sasol Thistle Grove FC with 3-0 in the semi-finals.
In the group matches, Buccaneers beat Sasol Juventus FC by 1-0, Itumeleng FC with 3-0 and drew 0-0 with Sasol Celtic FC.
